In this week's video newsletter, I'm going to walk you through the reasons your Financial Advisor cannot beat an Income Annuity. Most people are still under the impression that they will get a consistent 7%-8% return on their money and they can live off that interest for the rest of their lives without depleting the principal of their retirement portfolio.
Unfortunately, that is not the case, and it never has been. When it comes to retirement income, everything is based on "payout rates", or "withdrawal rates." That is the percentage of money you can take from your portfolio. The higher the withdrawal rate, the greater the chance you will run out of money. The lower the withdrawal rate, the greater the chance you will not get to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Most people shy away from annuities because they believe their money will be "locked up." But, what they don't realize is their money already is "locked up" if it is invested with the purpose of providing retirement income.
In this video, I will walk you through a Case Study of a 65 year old who has recently retired. I'll touch on the reality of her money being "locked up" her your portfolio, and the difference in overall outcomes and freedom she could have with an Income Annuity as part of her retirement plan.

All the best,
Consider updating scenarios for today’s higher inflation rates in the “Why your advisor cannot beat …” video. (Rate in video was 2.5%)
Thank you for your suggestion and for being a subscriber of the ATLAS Annuity Newsletter. If I did not mention it in the video, because I meant to, inflation has been approximately 2% for the past 20 years or so. Right now we are in an anomaly of inflation rates, and let’s pray to God that they don’t stay this way for long because most Americans do not have enough retirement funds to have a consistent 3% inflation offset, much less a 7% – 9%!
Thank you again for watching and for your observation!
